NE-O has released a stripped back version of his new single Help featuring his sister, one-half of The Voice UK winners Jen & Liv, Jenna Cole and produced by Scottish Pretty.
I've written plenty of words about the song itself but with this release something else caught my attention. The collaborative nature of this alternative video release with other rappers taking on different roles on this occasion.
The endlessly talented John Dole is credited with recording, mixing and mastering the vocals while the similarly hyphenate Eyeconic is responsible for the directing and editing of the visuals. It's a real source of pride to see five musicians collaborate for a piece of art and is a real credit to the strength of the community culture in the North East - and the hunger for artists to learn new and different skills too.
