On the release of Punk Rocky I reminisced of how it's been 13 years since the release of Long Live A$AP.
I haven't kept up too much with his career since then but I've seen murmurs of how long his fanbase have waited for this album.
Given it's been over a decade since I really listened to A$AP and I was half expecting this to be a genre-bending rap-punk song, I'm pleasantly surprised by just how hooked I am by Punk Rocky.
It's just a bit of pop-rap fun isn't it?
"I thought you was the one, I guess you just the two" is hardly lyrical excellence, but it does the job and this song is all about the sonics.
It sounds light, breezy and again, fun even if the lyrical content is actually the opposite.
There's a section from 1:24 in that reminds me of nicest-man-in-the-music-industry Dylan Cartlidge and that's always a win in my book.
Don't Be Dumb is set to be the first big album release of 2026 and I'm now very ready for it.
